God’s perfect timing led Judy into my life thru “myspace” when I needed her. I was estranged from my oldest daughter for almost 8 years and Judy helped me see thru Christ’s eyes what I needed to do to restore that relationship. She encouraged me to just “LOVE” her, not to dwell on the hurt and pain I endured during all those years, but to just love and accept her with God’s love, whether I agreed with her new lifestyle or not. That relationship has been restored now. It’s not what I would like it to be yet, but the first big step has been taken and both she and I know in our hearts that we love each other, despite our tremendous differences in theology, lifestyle, etc. I have finally accepted the fact that God has forgiven me for what I have (or have not done) in the past to hurt my daughter, but most of all, with God’s (and with Judy’s counseling) I have forgiven myself after almost 40 years! I went into marriage with certain ideas of what it should be and those dreams were shattered eleven months later when I gave birth to my daughter and had very serious Post Partum Depression which left me with guilt and wrong feelings towards that child for most of her life.
